Key learnings
-
Experienced the full product development cycle
Through working on a complex software system, I gained valuable experience in the entire product development process from inception to execution. This allowed me to understand the importance of each step in the cycle and how they all contribute to the final outcome.
-
Learned the importance of defining a clear scope and designing accordingly
I came to realise that having a clear scope and design is crucial to prevent scope creep and to better manage time and resources. By defining the project requirements, the team can focus on delivering features and functionalities that address the user's needs, resulting in a well-thought-out product.
-
Learned how to write test cases & perform end-to-end tests
I've acquired a new skill of writing test cases for QA, which enabled me to create thorough and efficient tests for the software. This helped me to identify and address any gaps in user flows early on, improving the overall quality of the final product. In addition to writing test cases, I also learned how to perform end-to-end tests, allowing me to test the software as a whole and ensuring that all components were functioning as expected.
